it’s not uncommon (and)

So, after I wrote that piece yesterday, in despair and the anger that results from feeling like I’m being pushed into a corner, Unemployment called me – when I WASN’T in the shower or something.  I spoke to a real person, in other words.  I WAS NOT Mr. Nice Guy.  (Jhni once told me I was "too nice")  I wasn’t "too nice" on the phone yesterday.

Does this make sense to you?

Because I was "fired for cause" (B fucking S) I had to earn "four times my weekly benefit before they could pay me".  For the first time they told me that I have to let them know about my earnings.  (which I have been doing all along, what with the weekly filing requirements – can’t those dickheads ADD?) The system is totally opaque and byzantine and seems to be designed to engender hopelessness.  After I spoke to UE, I talked to my papers boss – it’s senseless to him too, but he will FAX UE the required info and, supposedly, UE will FINALLY start paying me.

Just before. it looks like, the waters close over my head.

(I wrote that piece yesterday just before my "rent review", and I was all paranoid that I’d get kicked out of my home.  I wasn’t very nice in that office either, even if the redhead I was dealing with was sort of cute and dresses nicely)

Things often go this way – maybe I’m not patient enough… or the bs is too thick to see through.

Today, the parking lot is closed at my bldg so that a crane can come in and take stuff off the roof (right ove my apartment, oh joy) and I have to move my car out of the lot all day – I think I’ll go for a drive, and take the camera along.

(Yesterday afternoon, I decided to get out of my cave and go to my friend A’s house.  He recently bought a Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV &  Blueray deck, and had rented Star Trek.  Lemme tell you, while I wasn’t like, a stereotypical "trekkie", I grew up with Star Trek and feel like I’ve absorbed the story, and the new "Star Trek" was awesome.  Especially on a 40" hi-def screen.

And sometimes it’s not good to be alone – I get kind of crazy sometimes and think harsh stuff)
