looks like the end of this one

I have a video card in my computer, a nice nVidia 6200 dual display card.

On my left, I have the 15" monitor I bought new in 2000.  On the right side, I have a 17" monitor someone gave me when the 21" flatscreen I had died.

Damn thing – the 15" is over 12 years old and works like it always has, but the 17" ones colors are suddenly all wrong – this page looks WRONG.

Snap.

(as a substitute for another word)

For example, this page looks purple and it should be light blue-ish.

Photo editing would be so wrong with this monitor.

Either that or I’m suddenly colorblind….

The local Goodwill is open until 9… I think I’ll go see if I can score a monitor for a reasonable amount.

I did see a 15" digital TV (new) at a local store the other night for 99 dollars… but cheaper is much much better, eh?  That TV did have a VGA plug on it, so I could use it as a monitor.  Today, Comcast came and gave me a digital box of some kind – converts the digital signal to analog because I have (It’s NOT!) an old analogue TV.  I wonder if getting a flatscreen would open a can of worms that I don’t want to deal with now.

Meh.  Sometimes this modern life umm, sucks.  TV’s used to last decades.

SOME monitors last a long time too, but. well, free is not always the best thing, I guess.

On the other hand, I did get several years of use out of the bigger monitor.

So it goes, I guess.
