Me in the Gorge

My friend from Japan came to see me; my 50th birthday was earlier this month, and together, over the three weeks she was here, we took 2,428 pictures.

Ummm, we really like these Digital Cameras.

We’ve both been into photography, most of our lives, have had good 35mm cameras, and are always looking to see good pictures to take.

Of those 2,428 pictures, which I’ve been running through the "digital darkroom", I see that a few (ok, sort of an understatement) are of me.  I take pictures all year; it’s only when my friend comes that pictures of me get taken, so, with no further apologies, these are from our first trip into the Columbia Gorge:

There are pictures to be taken all around you here:

Ya just gotta look for them.

Of course, we had to stop at Multnomah Falls:

(there’s a pretty good coffee kiosk here ya know?)

On that first trip to the Gorge, we went to Wakeena Falls:

I think you’d have to work hard at it, or be really clumsy to take a "bad" picture here….

It turned out (I’d never walked farther than the falls) that there were some good views up the trail:

Stay tuned – some pics I took on this trail above Wakeena Falls are next up.
