Misc. thoughts

Looks like December in Portland out there.  The windows are dripping.

Had some hail and “mixed precipitation” here and snow showers in the hills, but no big deal.

The city has been visibly ready this year.  Last year they got caught by surprise and hubris and looked bad.  But it’s just rain down here.

The snow pack is off by over half this year- later on they’ll be whining about drought.  A conveient excuse to raise electic rates.  Good thing I don’t pay ’em – it’s in the rent.

I got a lot of Christmas cards this year.  Sixteen of them!  Got more than a few from my new OD friends.  How cool is that?

(anyone who’s interested in sending cards or presents (lol) remember my birthday is 3/8.  I’ll be 43) ^._.^

I am so fucking lazy – I have only myself to blame for not meeting new people and doing new things.  Well, being poor and not having a car has something to do with it…or affects the perception of it…or __________.(fill in the blank)

The point is the world or the people I want to associate with anyway are not very likely to knock on my door, much less break it down.  Even if some of them could…at least call…

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Time to walk to the market and get some microwavable food.

lazy cat food

And coffee.

Hmm. I should make a dummy list so I don’t forget anything.

The market’s just up the street – about a 15 minute walk past racks I service and shops I stop at,

It’s so cool that I deliver the paper in my neighborhood.  I am so fortunate!

Perspective.

When you live in a city its nice to hang out in your neighbourhood. Re: meeting people…how about some volunteer work? The pay isn’t great but you are appreciated.
