More “beyond Wakeena Falls”
I moved here in 1987; I have been driving into and through the Columbia Gorge ever since. Last year (last year!) I discovered a waterfall that I had always driven by without a look.
Wakeena Falls is a beautiful waterfall:

Looking at the falls, it looks like there is an upper falls:

And, the trail does go up and beyond the falls here.

The trail does go up, and up, and up some more:

This trail tuned out to be part of a loop trail that connects Angel’s Rest with the Columbia River Highway, but it did lead to a wonderful viewpoint above the gorge:

Wow that was steep climb.How were your legs the next day?Were that tight and sore?I bet it was all worth it though right?
