Multnomah Falls in winter
Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States. It is easily accessible off Interstate 84 in Oregon, which runs through the Columbia Gorge, a National Scenic Area. The Gorge is the only low-level pass through the Cascade Range of mountains, which stretches from California to Canada.
The Gorge acts as a funnel, allowing winds from the cold interior to blow through the Gorge along the Columbia River. It is colder here than in the surrounding areas, and it leads to the waterfalls of the Gorge freezing over:

Very cool photos. 🙂 I might have to brave the cold once so I could get my own shots like this. 😉 Light of heart,

I’ve always thought frozen waterfalls and fountains look cool… No pun intended. 🙂 ryn: Bit of info about that mural. No one knew it was there until fairly recently. There used to be a building there – the Fidelity Building. It was built around 1900 and burned down in 2008. They found the mural later after removing the debris from the fire.
