Photo Entries 2
I’ve run 14 series of pictures here, in addition to the "occaisional" photo I post otherwise.
I am providing links to some of the photo entries- some of my readers are more recent additions and might have missed these, and I want to increase the hits on my Photobucket account.
Portland is a pretty city and I’ve photographed some of the finer places in the city:
Here I took pictures of Mt. Tabor, an extinct volcano close in on the east side of the city.
Crystal Springs Rhododenron Gardens is in biking distance from my apartment, and here I’ve taken a few pictures of it.
The Eastside Espalande was opened in 2004 to compliment the west side water front downtown.
Mt. St Helens is an active volcano, part of the Cascade range of mountains which runs from Northern California to Canada. It was in the news last year as it reawoke. It is like 55 miles from my apartment, which has a good view of it, weather permiting. I took a few pictures of the mountain here and here.
I’ve documented my paper routes twice. Here my friend took pictures of me using the stepvan in 2004, and here, she took pictures of me using my Voyager minivan 2005.
Any ideas as to my next photo series? I owe Lilygata a debt of thanks for encouraging me to photograph Mt. Tabor- thanks, friend.

Have you ever thought of doing manhole covers, or stop signs, or gas stations, or prosaic stuff? Or people’s feet? Gosh, I’m getting weird. Take pictures of red cars. Or VWs. Or fences. Or the backs of people’s heads. Or dogs. I think OD has too many cat pictures – not of Blacky of course-can’t be too many pictures of Blacky – but in general.Of course cats are much more photogenic than dogs.

:o) I like the picture of the rhodedendron gardens best. I love gardens or just foliage in general. I’d like to see more places like that. Has Portland got other beautiful gardens? Here’s wishing you a good day! hugs, Weesprite

Seasons in Portland? What is winter in Portland? Photo everything you ate or chewed for a day. Photo everything you buy in a week. I respectfully disagree with the above noter about too many cat photos on OD. How could you ever have too many?

I would like to see some portraits of Blacky, personally. 🙂 Did you see that there is a volcano in Alaska they think is going to erupt soon?

There’s a benefit to increasing the hits on your Photobucket account?

Love love love the St. Helen images… fab! I used to ride with a friend on the weekends when she helped her parents on their paper delivery jobs. They did the same bundle big load type of delivery you do… your images reminded me of the many fun times I had helping out. 🙂
