Road trip delay

 A late night last night lead to a late wake up time for me today, woken up by the phone, telling me that a place called The Mentor Network had called, and I called them right back.

I have a job interview scheduled for this Wednesday at 10:30 am.

It seems more than worthwhile to postpone the trip south.

Hmm.  I’m not sure what to think, cuz you know, when it rains, it pours, and work is more important than fun.  I wonder if it will pour, as in , more job interviews, or maybe maybe a job OFFER, this week.

There’s this too to think about: "Being used is not the same as being needed" in a note on my last FO entry.

No, it’s not.  

It is more than possible to be "too nice", to be a usable fool/tool to a drunk.  Thankfully, she didn’t puke in my car, or… pee in it either, passed out.  Noooooo! not in my beautiful black car!

I stepped on a few mines, in that minefield that is her drunk consciousness, last night (this morning, if I want to get precise) but they didn’t blow me apart – I must have a fool’s luck.  Well, the last one did, I guess, in a way: I took her home, to her home, not mine.  It wasn’t like "You are dismissed, driver", but damn near, and that’s ok, ya know.

I woke up alone and that’s even better.
