Sunset on the Oregon coast
On March 2nd, we drove back to Portland up US 101 on the Oregon coast. The last six posts were of my "On the beach" series of some of the pictures we took that day. We weren’t in any particular rush to get back to Portland, so when the sunset came, I pulled off of 101 near Waldport and we shot these sunset pictures.
I say "we" because although only one camera was used, we both took pictures with it. My batteries had run out, and so I used K*’s camera… and have forgotten who took which pictures. These thus are pictures by both of us on the Casio camera she had and not my Nikon. I mention that because in the previous entries, I alternated between my pictures and hers. I suppose in finishing this series, it is not inappropriate that the pictures were taken by both of us.
Anyway, the sunset:

The light faded and the warmth, such as it was, drained out of the day, blown away by the wind at sunset.
From the looks of the trees here, wind is a constant presence.

I love living here…the coast is an hour one direction, the mountains an hour in the other, with this beautiful, lush valley in between. You couldn’t get me outta here with a crowbar! 🙂 Beautiful photos!
