Swing wide the doors of perception 2

I-84 runs from it’s start in Portland into Utah- I have driven that far and father, but this morning we’re only going a little ways, to Women’s Forum Overlook, at the real start of the Columbia Gorge.

Pointing the camera out the driver’s side window gives us this shot.

We’ve gotten off the interstate and are now running through Corbet, on our way to Women’s Forum.

a teaser. but we're almost there- hold on

Ahead of us is Larch Mountain, the highest point between Mt. Hood and Mary’s Peak in the Coast Range.  We’ve been there before, in a series of pics in 2004 that was lost in the great hacker attack of 04.

Oh, the pics ain’t lost- they are on Photobucket, and I’ve posted a few of them since, because they are excellent pictures.

The first and the last are my faves in this bunch.. wow.. you have a great eye for taking beautiful pics. I am trying to get myself a nice small sized digital camera that I can keep in my purse to take pics whenever the inspiration strikes me. Any suggestions for a portable one that isn’t too terribly expensive?

I thank god for giving you the sun and the mountians and the water so you could photograph it at one of its most beautiful moments!Truely a living oil painting!!

PS: Last one is stunning. I wonder how close you are to Voyageur, who has posted similar pictures of the Columbia river in the past?
