Swing wide the doors of perception 6

Portland Women’s Forum is the name of a ladies political group in the late 50’s-early 60’s.  This group bought and donated this piece of land to the people to provide a scenic overlook of the Columbia Gorge.  It is the first overlook going east and is perhaps one of if not the finest views of the river and it’s Gorge.  This is almost always my first stop in the Gorge nowadays.

And really, isn’t it a fine place to see this wonderful view?

There is Crown Point, on the right.  The views from there are possibly even better than from here… but I did not go there today.  I have been in the past, and there is a series or three here on Open Diary of my previous visits to this gem- see my Photo Entries chapter to find them in 2005 and 2004.

Personally, I think I look damn fine for my age – 44. I’ve “grown into my looks”. What do y’all think?

By the way I remember July 19, 2006 very well. It was Hubs & my 20th anniversary. Daughter Jules & her hubby & grandson Jack & daughter Sarah & her wee ones were here with us too & hubbys sister & old friends. It was a glorious day here in Alaska. So cool (except for that nasty ciggie hanging from your lip) I’ll have to ck out your pics from Crown Point, it looks like they could be great too.
