I bought a new car in 2008, pretty much the first time I had ever done that by myself.

I really like the Dodge Caliber.  We rented one in 2007 and I drove it 3100 miles in the week we had it, so, the next year, when I knew I wanted a new car, I bought a Caliber of my own.

 I bought a Surf Blue Pearl Dodge Caliber SE in 2008.  I was a school bus driver, the old minivan broke down, and why not, I though, get a NEW car?

My oldest, err, umm*, I mean the friend I’ve known longest, Jhni, flew up here that summer from Big Bear and we drove back down together in my new blue Caliber.  I took a lot of pictures on that trip – these are from the Oregon part of the thousand miles down to Big Bear

I love that blue – I could see this car in pretty much any lot – it stood out. It looked like it glowed in my parking lot downstairs.
