the weekend

 

 

 RAIN all day yesterday, and most of the day today.  Welcome to Portland.

It’s the first of 20 10, and the Sunday papers are in bundles of ten – slim papers nonetheless larger than last weekend’s.  And, tens are easy to manage – lots of my stops get one or more bundles (4 – 5 bundles at Safeway and New Seasons).

No complaints, larger or smaller, I’m just grateful to have papers to deliver.

I put a new, empty 2G card in my camera.  I had a 2G card in there from Late August and had something like 1600 pics on it – I wonder if I’ll be able to fill the card this year.  Memory is sooo cheap that I just buy new ones for keeping them separate – the originals are always available that way, even if I edit them.

8 bucks for a 2G card?  I can do that.

Oregon went to The Rose Bowl today.  I used to live in Pasadena.

I like Portland better.

The car dealer called me this morning and offered me a "special deal".  If I bought a new car, they’d cut my interest rate by more than half, to 2%.  So, this is my second winter with a new car… but I got what I want already.

2. something less interest though…

Nah.

I want to be like I was in 1999.  Grateful to be alive.

Simply grateful.
