Looks like I sort of shit the bed on this NoJoMo thing this weekend. If I would have written it would have been silly little obligatory entries and that just feels cheap. It was a very busy and productive weekend. I’m really trying to get ready for Anna’s shower next weekend and I will be hosting a lot of people here and I’m generally just a complete control freak and want everything to be perfect.
P was so sick last week that we really didn’t even see each other so we spent all day Saturday (after he worked several hours in the morning while I unpacked and organized) together hanging out and running errands. We had lunch at this new burger place called Meatheads. Then we bought this cool new wine rack. The shadowing makes it sort of hard to see but there is a ton of space for wine on the bottom half.

Then we went to the Apple store because I’m planning to buy a new laptop and wanted to check out those new Macbook Airs in person. I didn’t get one yet and I think I’m going to get a Macbook Pro. I’m excited for that. We spent the rest of the day shopping around some more, came home and assembled our new wine shelving unit (?), and ended the night making a big bed on the floor eating homemade nachos and watching Boardwalk Empire. I’m loving that show.
Sunday was football for P, as it always is. He went to Taylor’s to watch with his friends. I made them a ton of homemade buffalo chicken wontons, which was a new made-up receipt, to take with him. I was told they were a huge hit. Anna came over and highlighted my hair then we went to Target and I took her to Red Lobster as thanks for doing my hair. I still love Red Lobster but I was feeling a little repulsed by how fattening everything I was eating was.
I actually woke up on Saturday with a massive migraine. I’ve been experiencing some pretty major tmj pain for the last six months or so and have definitely determined that that’s what’s causing my migraines. I have medication but it only gets rid of them for 24 hours and I can’t take another one the next day because it the side effects are awful when I have another so close to my first dose. I’ve actually been in physical therapy for the tmj for over two months and I thought it was really helping. I still had the pain and migraine yesterday and just sort of fought through it hoping today would be better. But no such luck, today was horrible. It sucks because sleeping is the only thing I can do to escape the pain. I just worked today. There was really nothing else I could do. Fortunately I’ve never had an episode last more than 72 hours, so I should be good to go tomorrow.
Today wasn’t all bad though. I found out this afternoon that my work is sending me to London for two weeks right after Thanksgiving to work on some European deals. I can’t tell you how excited this makes me. I’ve never been to England and have always wanted to go. I’m really looking forward to it.
Love the wine rack. Now you will just have to fill it up.

Ooh, I like that wine rack. Nice and compact, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Sorry to hear about the health troubles. I get migraines too, and they are no fun at all. I’ve had minor issues with TMJ, but they were mostly solved by simple things–I stopped chewing gum, stopped resting my chin on my hand, did some exercises, etc. That really sucks that it’s giving you such terrible migraines. 🙁 London?! You’d better take lots of pics to share! 🙂

I LOVE the wine rack! Eric and I have been on the lookout for one, but pretty much only find the short box type (far too bulky) ones. England sounds like a blast, what a great work assignment! =)

Gotta check out IceBar and Harrods. Do English tea, ride the Eye, walk around Notting Hill. I could live in London. I loved it! And British boys are too cute! “Hello love, my you’re a pretty bird.”
