Day 3
Well so far so good. I have had a few cravings to go out for a pint, but I have controlled them by keeping myself busy. Just working at one day at a time. I told my girlfriend about the situation and she seems very supportative. Also I think by telling her it has strenghtened our relationship because it took a lot for me to open myself to a weakness of mine.
It seems like it has been so long that I have gone without a drink… it has been 3 days. I think the most difficult time for me will be weekends. When I have “nothing better to do”. During the week, I am working so that keeps me busy to a certain extent. It is the alone time at home is the most difficult. I think I would drink because I was lonely and bored. And what better way to kill time and make the mind numb to thinking than by getting a buzz?
Looking forward…

Every day is a step you will be proud of. Before you know it you’ll be alcohol free for years. Just don’t be afraid to ask for help… you feel the urge to drink give your gf a call or a friend… anyone who’s willing to support you. Grats, keep up the great effort.
