The world is FUBAR

I often wonder if I have anger management issues.  I am just so done with the world.  Ever since I was a kid we were told about climate change and the need to reduce, reuse and recycle.  I feel I have held up my end of the bargain whenever I could.  But these god damn politicians have done nothing to change anything.  First I found out that “recycling” was really a lie developed by the oil industry to sell more plastics.  Great!  Then after reading/seeing study after study talking about climate change and finding that politicians have done essentially nothing to curb it when they have had over 40 years to do something…. just leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth.  I am certain the human race is doomed to self exterminate.   The latest study states the world has to reduce emissions to net zero in 4 years time, or we will hit the point of “no return” where we can’t correct the problem.   The pollution in the world is disgusting and it physically makes me feel sick just thinking about how the majority of people don’t give a shit about any of it because they are suffering from  “NOT IN MY BACKYARD” syndrome.

Why will we never fix the problem?  There are a few reasons, but mainly GREED.  Corporate greed.   Why implement an expensive system to recycle something properly, when a corporation can just dump it in the ocean and forget about it.  Not our problem anymore!  Why make something durable with the ability to last a very long time when you can have planned obsolescence?  That will force the consumer to upgrade, and give a company more money.  Why should a corporation spend it’s time and money fixing the future when the people in charge will be dead when that comes around.  It is this short term thinking (yes 100 years into the future is short term thinking when it comes to the planet) that will kill us all.  Money doesn’t matter when the world we live on doesn’t exist.  Why do you think all these private corporations are now getting into space travel?  Plan B…. get the %#$@ out of here ASAP.

Another reason is the policies governments have put in place are useless because they don’t apply to EVERY country.  We need to move on from this archaic concept of countries and form a global government that can implement policies for the good of everyone.  Let’s put it this way… it’s great you have implemented a policy that states “no peeing in the pool” for your kids when going to a public pool…  But little joe over here, can’t read yet and his parents don’t give a fuck… so little joe is going to pee when he feels like it.   Until the policies are implemented for all nations,  other countries will be pissing all over the place.

I’m also sick of this woke movement.  It’s complete and utter BS.  For a long time I struggled with the concept that life isn’t fair because I felt it should be fair… but that’s not the way things work.  Now people are trying to make things fair, by making things unfair.   I did an election survey a couple days ago and this was a survey question; “Should the government mandate that minorities get priority in the hiring process?”  What the fuck is wrong with the world?  That is full on racism… but it’s okay because it only discriminates against white people?  If you don’t think it is racist, let me just rephrase it for you; “Should the government mandate that white people get priority in the hiring process?”  Now it is racist right?  hmmm… this movement isn’t bringing people together, it is dividing them into racial groups.  I thought we were way past this!  I saw a headline the other day… “Women and Women of colour still make less money than men”  What?  Hate to break it to you, but women of colour are WOMEN.  All that states is that women of colour are very different than regular ol’ women… division.  This is not the correct path people.

On a similar note, You are gay?  GREAT… cool story.  Not sure how it is relevant to your job.  Most people don’t give a shit what you do with your genatlia in private… just keep it to yourself.   It is not important.  It really isn’t.  You aren’t GAY… you are a human, just like the rest of us.  You want to change into a woman… cool…. but don’t get angry when people mistake you for a man because you still have the bone structure of a man.   I believe people should be accommodating, but shouldn’t have to bend over backwards to make you feel comfortable.

People are becoming very intolerant to others and this is concerning to me.  It is getting to the point where people don’t want to hear a contrast of opinions.  There are always two sides of the coin, that is what makes life so special.  Let’s say we eliminate all sadness in the world and everybody is happy.  Then what is considered sadness?  What happens when your parents die? Are you then sad? but I thought sadness was eliminated?  How do you know you are happy, if that is what you always are?  You can’t have love without hate.  You can’t have success without failure.  You can’t be rich without the poor.   What I’m saying is by trying to make everything equal and fair and make the world into a safe place is impossible.  IMPOSSIBLE.

Anyway the world is fucked and I spend way to much time stuck in my own head and it is only getting worse due to isolation from the pandemic.
