I Am Not a Poet- just felt like writing

I come from the valley in California

the cows and tall buildings raised me

I migrated to the forest

the cold weather and ancient trees taught me

I’m inspired by people and places of the world

I’m a student of history, literature, art, politics, and fulfillment

Who I am

Who I want to be

Who I will be

Who inspires me

Who I will inspire

I will teach and guide

the students that sit in my classrooms throughout the years

I will give and receive

to the people that I love and from the people that love me

I will nurture and protect

the children my siblings will have for I will not have my own

I aspire to be a whole person

content and influential

Both in my life and others
