Anniversary Gifts
Gentle Hearts,
Anniversaries….how sweet they are and when they are your own Wedding Anniversary especially the first it is even more sweeter! This year is Our First Wedding Anniversary! It’s a bit special for us since we first got married in a lovely and small Town Hall Ceremony on July 1, 2004 in my hometown of Jersey. This was such a memorable and lovely ceremony. It was the first time either of us tied the knot and I can remember me phoning the Registar Office twice to find out the procedures for a Civil Ceremony. It was easy! You had to go to the County Clerk’s Office and resgister. You had to have one Witness sign the form and pay $28.00! Then the Registar gave Alex a slip a paper and told us to go upstairs and book a date for the Ceremony! It was an a Thursday that we got married civically. Ivonne, my best friend and maid of Honour came to our house early to help us get dressed. She bought me a bouquet and Alex a bouteneire. The Ceremony was at noon in the Town Hall. We were dressed beautifully. I had dressed in a white dress with poetess sleeves and Alex was devenier in his Jess Jones black suit! Judge Amarilys Hernandez married us instantly. I remember that as we were taking our vows Alex looked at me and cried! He was so emotional! I held his hands as he pronounced his vow to me and then I kissed him when the ceremony was over. After the Ceremony we went to the Rainbow Buffet and had a nice lunch with my parents and my maid of Honour. This was the first Wedding….Our main official Wedding was held on Sunday, August 8, 2004 with 120 guests from the United Kingdom and the United States present. So we technically celebrate two Anniversaries! We are going to celebrate our July Anniversary by going to Oxford and to London and having a meal together and then on August 8th we will celebrate in grande with exhanging of gifts and possibly a family toast.
For our Anniversary I have bought a beautifully framed Anniversary Times that has our names engraved, our Wedding Date and all the events that happened on that date! I believe Alex will be delighted with this! I’ve ordered it from Personal Creations. com http://personalcreations.com I’ve also bought him this lovely Surname Meaning frame! It has the Helraldy and Coat of Arms of the Aris surname! Apart from this I’ve also composed a poem entitled,
Anniversary Sonnet
I think Hubby is going to enjoy it! I am also going to get him a £35.00 voucher for his favourite store… Argos!
All I want from him is a nice gift…price tag isn’t important and some flowers…and som creative romance! A night of passion is also sweet!
I just can’t believe that it has been a year already! It’s been a good year clad with a bit of a challenge yet over-all it has been a good year! It certainly feels lovely, thrilling and interesting being Mrs. Alex Aris!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Aris! It suprised me how easy it was to get married to. Easier to get a marriage licence than to join the local video store…
