BBQ

     Today was another nice day here!  I’m glad I got over that forty-eight-hour bug quickly!  I’ve had a nice day! I got a bit annoyed at my friend, Eleine.  She wrote me an E-mail saying she’s still waiting for the photos of the Fun Festival and asked me how my job search was going and if its true that I quit my job in New Jersey?  I mean, she may mean well and care about me but it’s none of her business really! I detected a tone of bossyness and reprimand!  I wrote her a reply saying that I did quit my job as my boss asked me to write a letter of separation from the job in New Jersey as I’ve applied for three positions here.  My boss says its illegal to hold a job while applying for another one and asking him for a Reference.   For God’s sakes! Can’t people refrain from being so paranoid about my life! I’m not a fifteen year-old! I am a forty-two year old married woman!

   I just want to live a relaxed laid back sort of life with my husband here in the United Kingdom!  I’m tired of the paranoia and pre-conceived judgements that some of my friends and relatives assume! They pre-judge and critize and think I’m not capable of handling my own affairs! They see the darkness in every situation and question me about every choice I make!  How can I be independant and learn to evolve as a person! ?

  On a positive note today I’ve applied for another job opening as an Assistant Librarian at one of the colleges in Oxford!

  The weekend is here again and its joyful thinking that we can enjoy two glorious day of relaxation!  Everyone here has been invtied to a BBQ at Hubby’s sister, Sue’s house!

Mum phoned me last Evening.  They’re doing well!  She asked me if I am missing them.  She said Dad thinks the world of me and I told her about how he raised his voice to me and queried me about why I had quit my job in Jersey and accussed my husband of sponging my Pension money!  How bizzare!  Mum told me not to mind my Dad.  That’s his way of expressing himself.  She said she was told off by him for being a bit nervous.  Dad said that Mum can help hereself relax if she puts her mind to it.  I’m glad I told Mum how Dad’s comments bothered me! It got the feelings off my chest!
