Goffyn tidbit
Today at lunchish-time, Jake and I headed off to see his mother’s best friend, Michelle, as it was her birthday. She was seriosuly surprised that we even knew it was her birthday, let alone brought her some muffins. 🙂 We hung out there for a bit, and then headed back home so Jake could go back to work.
I made peanut butter cookies today. They are my favourite thing that I make. They always turn out so perfectly delicious. Plus, I really love peanut butter. Which is a weird thing, as I hate nuts. I can’t do organic or natural peanut butter though, tastes too nutty.
On tonight’s episode of "I need a topic, Topic-Face!" , Jake tells me to write about… pie. Because he is watching Good Eats and Alton Brown is making apple pie. This episode made me go out and buy a pie bird, which I love and think is adorable. I’ve never used it, but that’s because I’m not a big fan of pie. I think I might have to make an apple pie for thanksgiving just so I can say I have used my pie bird. I’m doing thanksgiving this year. Which I’ve known since before last year’s, but still. Keeps popping into my head every now and then. I think I need to start making lists, at least of ideas of what to make. I have absolutely no problem with the making a whole bunch of stuff or having people come over here to eat… but the turkey. I don’t like cooking meat. I think Jake will have to take charge of that, and I can do everything else. That sounds fair, yes? We are hosting, not just me. So therefore he needs to help out. Heh. I know he would even if I didn’t make him be turkey-man, because he is awesomely lovely like that. And he likes doing stuff in the kitchen a lot. Shall be fun. And definitely a learning experience. Ooh, with our bonus money that is coming we’re gonna get a couple cool kitchen things we’ll need for such an occasion. As well as fill up our pantry with non-perishables. That part rather excites me. I think I’m a bit on the boring/simple side, but that’s fine with me. I also want a thing so I can do internet-related things on the DS and the Wii, like the thing Natey has. But I want one that actually WORKS. His was a little annoying poop-face. Something he is not.
Yargh, lost my word thought. Jake stopped watching tv and started asking if I wanted to do my teeth yet and then was just standing next to me. That really makes me lose my word-train. I dislike hovering. which is kinda like hoovering. Heh. I don’t miss vacuuming, but I do miss carpet. Although I think the reason I haven’t been sick this past year (occasional scratchy throat but that’s about it) is because of the lack of carpet. Sad though, wood floors hurt my feet.
you are awesome. Michelle was so touched and happy. Thank you again. Can’t wait for Thanksgiving dinner already.

There’s nothing better than having a partner you can work with in the kitchen. I don’t have that in Clay, yet, but I’ll teach him someday! ;op~jo

I always wanted wood floors, but carpet does feel SO good! I don’t like hovering either, I need a foot circumference of space at all times…unless we’re gettin’ freaky! LOL
