I’m officially a turkey

Today has been a rather good day. I woke up at 9am and actually got out of bed! It amazed me. I don’t know what I did after that, but Jake came home at 10:30 and I was eating breakfast. Another thing that is very almost un-Sez like.

We watched Heroes and the end was all sad but good. I love that show, its so interesting. Then Jake putered and I pokemon’d. I love just hanging out with him, its so much fun!

This afternoon when Jake went back to work, I started on writing up a huge list. I was randoming and saw someone had done "101 things in 1001 days" and it seems pretty cool. I’m about halfway through my list. It’s hard to come up with stuff, but seems like it shall be a good thing to do.

This evening I was wondering when I would get a message from mum saying she’s here, and as soon as the thought stopped, the phone went off. (the scary thing is, it just went off now too! but it was jenn, not mum) Anyways, she’s in New York and all that, and I got to tell her stuff and talk to her which is goodness.

You know the coolest thing ever? Matt gave me two letters when he came home. The first was from the immigration people and the first line of the letter said "WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" so TOTAL w00t for that! It said that my green card should be here in 3 weeks. Then I opened the other envelope, and it contained my green card! So WOO I am totally a permanent resident of this country! And that is awesome. No forms or anything for 20 months! Woohoo!

And the card itself is covered in really cool holograms and hiden images and other things, so much fun to investigate.

Anyways, my eyes are sore and I am sleepy and bed is looking oh so very comfortable right now. Plus, 2 weeks is too long for newlyweds. (when are we no longer newlyweds?)

title: According to the book Jenn wrote for my trip here in 05, Americans are pilgrim turkeys (although that is like s aying ATM machine, according to "the guide to amoirica"). Therefore, I am now a turkey… kinda.
