Love em and leave em

We always go out, so we stayed in. Neither of us can cook, but we tried. I wore a red dress that actually hid my gut, and my new favorite necklace that only lasted until the dog found it and chewed it up into something unrecognizable. Overall, though things were not perfect, it was nice to be with him. He made the call to refinance when he got home, and got that ball rolling. The wine was delicious, and the pesto was edible.

He was supposed to leave for work at 6am, but turned off the light and crawled back into bed for a few hours. He’s gone now until Sunday, some project up in Maryland. But things are much, much better than they were when I left for NY a couple of weeks ago. Other than a slight hangover. It’s just me and the pup, and two cats, for the next few days. So I plan to skip the gym tomorrow, come home and free Dex from his crate, and hit the workout videos. I was doing good until the second bottle of wine, and the extra scoop of icecream. Back on track this weekend, since there is a possibility of going to Virginia Beach in May. Hard to know what the weather will be like, but even if I am in jeans and a sweater, I want to be skinny again. "Scary skinny" is what Chris says I was when he met me. I wasn’t.
