ironing can wait…

i need to iron my shirt before i head over to the offices this morning.  i’m singing for an agent this morning that i’ve known for sometime.  he’s heard me grow over the past couple years, so i’m interested to get his input on my singing right now.

my eyes are really bad today.  i can barely read the screen.  i could go get my glasses, but that’d give me a headache, so i’m not going to bother.

anyway… the REAL reason i cam to write today was this: i’m not doing NoJoMo this year.  i’ve tried the last two years (maybe last three) and i can’t remember if i’ve actually been successful or not.  however, this year i decided to do another challenge.  i joined NaNoWriMo…  and now i have to write 50,000 words before Nov. 30tn.

it all started when Nocturnal State and i were talking about writing and stuff and i happened to come across a book i had tried to write in years past (like… 12 years ago).  its complete shit, but the story is very good i think.  very unique, and i think she agreed.  so i started writing the outline.  the unfortunate part is i don’t have it finished yet… but i need to start writing.  i’ll probably start a little bit later today.

the downside (and i really don’t know what i was thinking) is that i have 8 songs to memorize in 2 weeks, plus i’m going to NYC twice for auditions, then Vienna, VA for another audition.  oh, AND i’m giving a recital on Nov. 22nd.  go figure.  i couldn’t have picked a better month to do this. lol

on the flip side, i really am kind of excited to get started.  Nocturnal and i (i know she’s someone else’s muse, but she definitely helps me when i get stuck as well) discussed several aspects of the book.  she pointed out the stupid things i was doing, and also made me think hard how to describe it in a way that would make sense.  because, when you have a story in your head, everything makes sense to you… you just need to make sure that you can convey that idea.

so yeah.  i’m gonna go iron my shirt, go do my audition and come home.  maybe i’ll post a bit of what i do today.  we’ll see…

ciao!

I’m doing NaNoWriMo again this year. I actually opted out of it the past two years but decided to give it a go again. If I finish this will be the fourth time. So…here’s hoping I don’t completely hate what I’ve started once all of this is over… Good luck to you, my friend! Write on!

Good luck with NaNoWriMo 🙂 I was thinking of doing NoJoMo, but then changed my mind, I am not sure if I am going to be able to write every day, I do it only when I have time AND most important inspiration (even if I write about a regular daily routine), don’t want the pressure I guess 🙂 Good luck with the auditions as well ~hugs~

Good luck! Lord knows I can’t stick to those things 🙁

Good luck with NaNoWriMo (that’s hard to type!). I’m going to try my luck with NoJoMo. I’m betting that I’ll drop out after the first week due to the fact that my life is so damn boring. 😉

🙂 Whatever you do, avoid the forums. It’s another time sink that’s hard to resist. Good luck! It sounds like it’ll be a busy month for you. (I hope you start sleeping better, too.)
