TA-DA!

I can’t say those words, "Ta-Da" without thinking of one of the most terribly wrong (but funny*) jokes I know.  I’d tell you, but I’m a little afraid some of you would disown me, and two, it doesn’t really work unless you see it in person.  😀

So we bought the car Monday night.  Not sure why it’s taken me two days to write about it, but here I am. 🙂

Abby decided on the Kia Sorento… which in retrospect I think is going to come back and bite me in the ass.  (Abby, not the car.)  I can’t remember if I wrote this last time, but she wanted the ’00 Lexus RX350 that was on the lot.  I wasn’t all that comfortable with a car that old, even if it only had 111K miles on it.  I don’t know.

Meh, whatever.

So, car… taken care of.

Friday I drive to Pensacola and spend the night, to then sing for Pensacola Opera at 11am Saturday morning.  My cold is mostly gone.  No more sore throat, nose is almost fully clear… the only thing I’m worried about is whether or not my stamina is going to hold out.  Every time I get sick like this I lose a bit of my stamina, which makes me a little worried about whether or not I’ll make it through the audition.  We’ll find out…

Also, Tampa Opera has expressed interest in hearing me.  I will be singing for them May 20th.  That’s exciting.

What else is going on…

Need to start planning for my trip back to NYC.  Need to be there no later than June 1st.  I think I’d like to get there the 29th so I can get settled in the place we’re renting.  

That’s really all I have.  I’ve been increasingly frustrated about my eating habits, and my ability to focus on work recently.  I’m not entirely sure what’s causing it…  Something I’ll have to explore…
