tonight, when dennis gets home from work, we’re going to do a bit of shopping. he’s taking me out to buy more scrapbook stuff. i tried to send him for it but he just couldn’t choose from all the items. that’s okay–i haven’t left the house in so long. i would rather go myself. i think i suck at scrapbooking (these full-sized pages are hard to lay out!) but it’s fun so why not do it anyway? i have a book of full-size pages but i don’t know if i’ll be sharing them. 🙁 anyway, i’m feeling quite a bit better (i still spend half the night coughing though) so i can handle a little trip.
i’m actually kind of surprised that he’s agreed to take me (weather permitting) because i just bought 3 diapers from another ODer. swaddlebees pocket fitteds. can’t wait to get them. they look so soft for sawyer’s little bum. velour. yum. you can never have enough cloth dipes! i only have:
-3 med. happy heinys
-5 amway fitted med. (these diapers are so absorbent)
-2 kushies wraps in medium
-2 bummis super whisper wraps in medium
-1 kushies swim dipe
-7 kushies AIOs but i need the larges
-6 cotton babies doublers that i use in the kushies AIOs
-1 fuzzi bunz (large)
-16 various fitted (kushies/babykins)
-4 large kushies wraps
-4 small wraps (nameless)
-5 (homemade?) doublers (too bulky)
-1 AMP fitted
-2 flannel squares that work well as doublers
technically, that makes 33 diapers but i don’t use the 16 various fitteds (i think they’ll work for a smaller baby–if we go that route someday–but they’re not absorbent enough for a 13 month old), which means that i only have 17 diapers. 3 will soon be on the way, though, so i’ll have 20 to work with (and 8 wraps.) 🙂
i need to get some dishes done today. what a lazy butt i am. the bathroom needs cleaning too.
i told dennis that when i woke up yesterday morning, i realized that i am ready for him to paint the bedroom. haha he’s sure to get right on it. i’ve had the colours picked for such a long time. i want to see it all come together. *pouts*
i suppose i’d better get sawyer fed. 🙂

Laying out full size pages is difficult because you either have too many pics or not enough LOL

I would think that would be a lot of diapers but no…hehe…so are cloth diapers really better? I looove to scrapbook but hey you’re right….huge layouts are super hard…hehe that’s why I TRY to steer clear…but good luck with yours. Aww and Dennis is so sweet to take you. Kevin goes with me but he gets frustrated because I can be in a scrapbook store all day! 😛

I like to *say* I scrapbook… I mean, I have all the stuff for it and I used to be really on top of my pics… but I’ve fallen out of the habit since J started walking! Yeah, so 5 years and counting, my stuff has sat in storage. It takes practice to get it down… the more you do, the better you’ll get at it.

Thats cool w/ the scrapbooking, i need to do more of it! lol. You must do so many loads of laundry for just 17 diapers, or do they usually last you all day? Glad your feeling better tho thats great!

I suck at scrapbooking! I don’t have the patience or time for it I guess. I would love to kick start it as a hobby though. To the common person that doesn’t cloth diaper, that seems like a ton lol.

RYN: The stupid double pointed needles that I wanted at JoAnn’s were $8 for EACH set. That is just crazy to me since a huge set of all sizes is only like $30 online. I can’t imagine spending $8 per set for 13 sets. That is TOOOOO much for me! I am cheap!

I am no where near being a mother yet. I am pretty sure that I will be a cloth diaper user myself. I am glad you are feeling better. I have scrapbook stuff but I haven’t used any of it yet.

Have fun shopping. I’ve never gotten into the whole scrapbooking thing. I don’t really have the patience for it. It’s easier to just stick pics in a photo album and be done with it lol

I would love to scrapbook but I know myself wayyy too well- I have the best intentions of doing it but all my stuff would just sit there in a box in the corner of my living room or something. I will definitely, however, do baby books for our child(ren). Not doing them is not an option- I don’t have one and would have liked a record of when I did all the important stuff like walking and whatnot. Hey! Clean, because I am. We can spend the day cleaning. And you’ll be so happy, the result of me cleaning is going to be me taking pictures of our house finally, and all those maternity clothes I bought..and I know you well LOL you’re a sucker for pictures (so am I) kristen

I didn’t know you were into scrapbooking too. 🙂 I’ll admit that I feel I’m still ‘practicing’ when I do it, even though I’ve done 50+ pages over a couple of books. It’s great to get ideas from different people and websites though – one of my favourites is the ‘gallery’ on http://www.thescrapheap.com
