so, we told dennis’s parents. they didn’t seem as excited as i thought they’d be. happy but not jumping for joy (i seriously thought his mom would cry.) i think we shocked his mom. we made a shirt for sawyer reading "#1 Big Brother" and when we got to the house, dennis asked his mom to help sawyer out of his snow pants. she got them halfway down, realized what his shirt said and backed away, leaving sawyer standing there with his snow pants around his ankles. LOL. dennis had to help him get them off while dennis’s mom absorbed the shock.

dennis’s sisters, SIL, and brother were pretty excited. good reactions there. hugs from one sis. dennis had to call his bro b/c they weren’t home when we stopped in. one sis’ family was sick so we didn’t stay there long.

my parents are…my parents. my sister seems excited for us.

us? we’re still excited. the constipation could be the end of me. i feel like i have trapped gas in my tummy all the time. i fell down and hurt my tailbone a bit yesterday when we took sawyer (with his aunt, grandparents, and cousins) sledding, but it’s not bad. i’m not suffering through much with this pregnancy. with sawyer, i had every symptom in the book. with this one:

-sore hips and back now and then

-food aversion now and then

-a bit of food craving

-giggle fits

-sore boobs/nipples

-frustrate easily

-gas

-constipation

-fatigue but seems to be fading a bit

-peeing peeing peeing. seriously, if you think you pee a lot while pregnant, stay here with me at night. it sucks to have to pee at night from the very beginning. and it barely changes when i’m not pregnant unless i take lots of good meds. and even those lose their ability to help after a while.

not bad. with sawyer, i was nauseated through the 1st trimester. i haven’t had that much at all. maybe the first couple days. a little bit here and there, especially if i eat too much, but nothing really.

i can’t wait to buy small diapers. lol. and a new carrier. i want a good one. i have a sling but never really liked it. i want a better style carrier this time. since we don’t have much to buy, we should be able to handle that expense. we’ll have to get a crib mattress, small dipes, small covers, carrier, swing, and if it’s a girl, pink stuff!

i’m about 5 weeks now. fetal age is about 3 weeks. another couple months before we can tell non-immediate-family. i think we’ll have some excited friends. k & u.v. we’ll tell the next time we see them. they knew we were trying and they told us ahead of time (and we did that with them with sawyer too), so it’s our "thing." LOL. there’s another couple we’re debating telling too but we haven’t seen them in so long, we might not see them (alone)  before it’s time to tell everyone anyway.

i don’t see my family doc until the 4th and i’m trying to decide whether to go to my OB or to stay with my family doc. he’s closer and my OB doesn’t do anything he couldn’t do. however, i still want to deliver at the same hospital i was at with sawyer. lots of decisions. i’ll ask the nurse for advice. she’s always good that way. she’s the one who suggested i wasn’t ovulating the months i didn’t get pregnant and i’m pretty sure she was absolutely right.
