On to Our 7th Year

We went to collect our wedding cards from the hotel yesterday. J appeared at the MRT with a bouquet of roses.  First time I got a bouquet of roses from him. I remembered the first time I got flowers from him, it was for my 21st birthday and it was a bouquet of colourful daisies. During my ROM, he got me another bouquet but there was only a rose inside. Of course, there were times when he got me flowers but not in a bouquet.

Gave him a card as usual. I have been giving him many cards during our 6 years together. We went to Delifrance for a simple meal before taking a cab down to the Quality Hotel for porridge buffet with my family for dinner.

He usually buys his flowers from a florist at the MRT station near his house. But this florist shop only open from 11am. Sometimes when there are some special occassions coming up and I know he wont be doing anything special, I will go "eh, some shops only open at 11am". Big hint to him. Haha. But then I dont mean it lah. Flowers or no flowers, it’s the same. And a bouquet of roses is not cheap.

Nowadays, I feel different when I think of him. It’s more of a steadfast feeling. It probably has to do with the happenings in our lives now. Getting married, preparing for our customery and banquet etc. And now I address him as "my husband". Our weekends are normally spent together in our house. I’ll try to cook dinner on Sat. It’s not fantastic but I’ll improve. Hehe. Our sofa will be delivered in a few weeks’ time. We have yet to buy a TV console. Oh we bought an oven recently at $79.90 the other day at Best Denki and we tried it out last Sat baking cookies. We went to the Akira warehouse sale that same wkend and bought 2 standing fans. Had a tough time queuing and dragging them home after that. 

Slowly, our house is getting done up. Have yet to arrange for the delivery of our fridge and washing machine. Probably will get it delivered early next month. Will need to pay the balance $1k then. Sigh. I hate budgeting. If only we have all the cash in the world. Haha.
