Photo Shoot

Finished our photo shoot last Sat.

We had our indoor shoot first then proceed outdoor after lunch. It was fun though tiring becoz we had to keep smiling WIDE. The photographer was a funny guy, always cracking jokes to keep us laughing. I guess that’s what he wanted ba, so that we wont feel so tiring and will always be smiling and laughing. I quite like the makeup artiste too. It’s a He for your info but he’s quite alright and I liked the makeup he did for me so I had requested for him to be my actual day makeup artiste too. He seemed quite busy as he has his own business and is doubling up as a makeup artiste too.

We went to Botanic Gardens and then Sentosa beach. The ground at Botanic Gdns was wet. It must have rained before we reached. Think my gown got quite dirty but then, that was an outdoor gown (not my own gown) and I think the bridal shop must hv been very used to dirty gowns. Got bitten by ants when posing for shoots among the trees. Ouch. Oh, it started to drizzle so we quickly finished our session and then proceed to Sentosa. Was relieved to see Sentosa in good weather.

Was in good spirits while in Sentosa. I guess that’s becoz Sentosa was our last stop so we were quite high-spirited that it was going to end soon. I think I’ll like the shoots we take there. The photographer took some "more relaxed shoots" with us barefooted in the water and even lying on the sand and stuff like that. It’s quite fun actually.

There were some shoots which had us looking into each other’s eyes and smiling widely. I realised J had a very nice smile and it just kinda touched me in a way I’ve never experienced before.

Will be viewing the photos in a few weeks’ time. Hope they turn out well but then I dont actually fancy choosing more than what we were given and end up paying extra… Haha.

sounds really nice! glad you had a wonderful time shooting 🙂 my experience was ok.. i love having nice photos but i really don’t know how to pose, so often it become disappointing, & i sure miss the gowns. pple in taiwan usu reserve a basic set like 30 but choose a lot more. the way i did it was to know my budget and make sure i don’t go over it. my final bill was a 20 set w/ 26 extra sets so

a total of 46 sets. it’s a little complicated, our case, coz the salesgirl allowed us to have two quotes fr e very beginning, 20 set/30 sets, we cld use whichever that benefits us the most at the end. i’m e only one i’ve heard of so far that’s allowed such thing, but mine is v diff, coz i’ve a photo only package, not e full package w/ wedding gowns 4 wedding day…. anyways,e way it worked out 4

is tt we ended up using a 20 set as e original order, so we’ve 26 extra, which we can bargain for a better price per set, usu can start bargaining once u order more than 10 extra, e more extra u order, the lower per set price u wld get. i juz make sure that e total outcome is within e budget i’ve. so i didn’t go in w/ how many i want, but w/ how much i’m allowed to spend. does tt make sense?

i think it’s really impt to go in with a set amount of money in mind, so that u can stick to it & not end up getting distracted & all. many brides went in unprepared & end up quarrelling w/ e grooms coz guys dun see e point of spending tons of money on photos. some couples get overwhelmed by the photos & persuaded by the salesperson, & bought lots of photos, which afterwards they regret, coz at

that moment, they couldn’t really think a lot, by e time they left and went home, then they realize what just happened? but then tt’s all in taiwan, so maybe it’s diff in s’pore, so might not apply to u. have fun picking the photos 🙂 jj

ur photo shoot sounds like a nice experience (except for the ants biting u n the wet ground at botanic garden). actually i love sentosa. where bridal shop u went? what is the photographer name?

be firm with the photo choosing. have a good year ahead!

ryn:sounds like it’s the same in taiwan too, the number is stated in the order, then they would ask you if you want to buy more. we always forsee buying more, so we never use the orginal number in the order as the budget, but use it as the minimum with flexibility of buying more if we want to. i myself love pictures so i gave myself as budget & juz make sure i dun go over it at e end of e day

after buying the extra sets. the salesgirl we had was introduced by a fren, she was never there to convince us to buy more, so we were allowed to do whatever we want, which is rare. in fact she helped us take out some pictures, like she wld point out certain things in the pic tt’s not gd & told us not 2 buy. not sure if u r doing those that has graphics meaning u put more than 1 photo in a pg

w/ backgrd designs, if so, u wld probably need more than 26 to have a nice looking album. esp those, a lot of times it looks good when u’ve a series of actions, like a set of 3 photos of the same scene w/ minor change in movements, so it wld be like looking at still images of a video, does that make sense? those are gd & tells stories, but more expensive coz u wld need more photos. we opted 4

e traditional style of having 1 big pic per pg, so e photographer didn’t take those kind of pics 4 us coz we already told him b4hand we won’t b doing tt sort of stuff. am sure ur photos wld turn out wonderful. i love looking at wedding pictures 🙂 wished i can take again haha… i miss lots of things fr my wedding stuff. can’t believe they have all come and gone. enjoy while u can! jj

oh gal, how are the photos? sorry to ask…but if there is any chance if i can see… like christabel showing to us her bridal shoots photos …. but of course u don’t have to bother abt me if you feel uncomfortable..
