Cat Scratch Fever
This title goes out to Trooper who is laying beside me on my bed..and never scratches me. My mom has a cold and is coughing up a fricking lung and the phone keeps ringing off the hook..so it’s impossible to sleep. I’m waiting to ake my car to the garage and bring Belle, Trooper, and Lucky to the vet for a check up. Oh no I missed the royal wedding. Oh Shoot. Anyway, I got offered a job to teach in Korea that I’ve tentatively accepted. I can still back out if I want to. I just wanted solid plans. In other news, me and Joan (the Russian) are going to Punta Cana next month for my graduation…which I think I’ve already written about anyway. We’re staying at the Colonial Majestic All Inclusive Resort because it was recommended to us by my moms cousin. I’m not the type of person to just go off of a recommendation blindly, and I heavily researched this place, read reviews, looked at pics etc, and the thing about it I like the best is the beach, plus someone talked positively about it, so we just booked this place.
When I’m bored, I like to read trip reports in my free time lol because I’m a loser. So I wrote Dominican Republic Trip Report and read some stuff, then I eventually clicked my way to more reviews of the hotel we’re staying at. Everyone loved it except “THE AWKWARD BATHROOM SITUATION”. I thought to myself, oh God, so I quickly googled this. To my horror, I discovered that the bathroom is an open concept..there is no other room for it. The shower and toilet are simply behind a stained glass door. As someone who gets off to having an extreme amount of privacy, this news made me very distraught. In my rage, I asked my mom to call the hotel, and they confirmed the worst. I DONT KNOW WHY I AM SUCH AN IDIOT AND DIDNT SEE THIS SOONER BEFORE WE BOOKED. I need privacy. I mean it its just m mom, and I guess it could be worse. The rest of the room is beautiful, and I’m not going to the Caribbean FOR the bathroom..I’m going to the white sand beach littered with palm trees and tourquoise blue water. But damn. WHY WOULD ANYONE BUILD THIS KIND OF BATHROOM. I could understand if it was a COUPLES resort..BUT ITS NOT. ITS A FAMILY RESORT. WHO IS THE IDIOTA THAT DESIGNED THIS?!
