academic setback
The first setback of the new academic year has arrived, and it’s not even officially started yet. The course ‘evaluating web communication’ has been cancelled due to pregnancy of the teacher. The faculty apparently was not capable of supplying a substitute. This means that my plan to do 3 courses in the first semester and 1 course + master’s thesis in the second has been thwarted. The mail I got from the study adviser, and also the renewed information in the electronic study guide, was pretty clear. Two compulsory courses in the second semester in combination with one in the first gives an uneven workload.
I’ll just have to manage somehow. In the short run I’ll be able to take it easy.
Yesterday Fransy called me to ask for information on how to register and on the courses I, and she, will be taking. This phone call signalled the end of the summer holidays, of which I’m glad.
sorry it got canceled 🙁
