advanced language again
So we’ve just had another ‘interesting’ lesson in advanced language skills. Most edited web-texts were below the standard the teacher expected. After putting a couple of examples on the beamer of how it should be done, she put ours on. With names and everything. This, as an example of how NOT to do it. Then Bert had the nerve to say that it isn’t an excuse that most of our group are non-natives of Dutch (and it is indeed no excuse, no-one said that, but it must have been a reason). Also, he suggested that we were just not motivated, or lazy or something, that we should have spent more time on it. Well, how does he know how much time we spent on it??
This was once again one of the many excruciatingly irritating classes of this course. Maybe I should have skived off too, just as Jel and Fransy did.
Luckily, the teacher did give us the chance to do a resubmission. And one of the positive sides of being put on display on the beamer is that she gave some feedback, so that we know what to change. The first submission won’t be marked, it must be possible to at least get a pass mark (5.5) for this assignment.
RYN: Thanks so much! Good luck on your assignment!
