shopping for clothes

Saturday I had a day off. Aileen from work has been commenting on the way I dress, which convinced me a little, and therefore I decided to do some clothes shopping. First I had to get some groceries at the Dirk, where, fate decided, they had some nice green and brown t-shirts on sale. And, what was even better, is that they also sold duvet covers! I was in need of a new one, and then to find some cheap in a supermarket, wow!

After this I went to Amstelveen centre to buy some jeans and shirts. V&D had some nice jeans, but without price tags, and I didn’t want to ask. So I just bought them at C&A. Here I bought the jeans and, as an impulse purchase, some new shoes. I really couldn’t keep on walking on the old sports shoes I was wearing anyway.

I had walked to and from the centre on a hot day. I was exhausted when I returned home. In the evening I only wanted to watch television. I decided to watch ‘The Craft’ on DVD, which also has interesting special features. The director’s commentary is something I want to watch later this week. Later on this Saturday evening I started watching Buffy again. I think I hadn’t watched any for about two months, but I have finished the second season of Twin Peaks, which means I have to find something to fill the hours.

Yesterday was a day of work. I got out of bed, made dinner and ate it. At this hour I couldn’t eat much though. Then I went to work. On Sundays the buses go differently, and go less. So I had to ride via Hoofdorp, which is the long way around. At work I got less than three calls per hour. The theatre season hasn’t started yet; they expect the calls to pick up from the beginning of September. At 10.15 pm Alison, I and some girl who has been working here longer were waiting and talking in anticipation of the bus. Alison hadn’t eaten all day. She had expected the restaurant to be open in the evening, but it wasn’t. That’s tough on an eight hour shift.

Today I applied for my certificate of graduation. They told me I have to get a written permission from the study adviser first. I will try to find her later.
