today
Saw a movie about someone named Glass who fabricated all kinds of stories to put in a newspaper. In this way he got really popular, but he got entangled in his own web of lies. He wrote the story of a hacker who got offered a job by the company that he had hacked into. This turned out to be utter nonsense. This movie is based on real events, and the main character is still living and is now studying law. It makes you think about what the papers print nowadays, and if you really can trust anything.
Today may have been the last day before the holiday that I met with Fransy and Jelena. For this year all classes and exams are over. My thesis is finished, and we really don’t have anything to do anymore (at university). Fransy is kinda jealous that my thesis is done – but I still have to edit – while she has not even begun writing – though she does have her data, it must be possible for her to finish on time – 30th of June is the deadline.
Fransy really likes the book I suggested for her to read. Neverwhere from Neil Gaiman. She is even going to buy a second copy to send to her England-based boyfriend.
