Sickness

Ugh.  I’ve had it most of the month, although I was told it wasn’t actually sickness but allergies.  What a pain!  Now Vivien’s got a double ear infection…but so far she’s responded well so hopefully we won’t be retracing our way back to the OR for more tubes, because her’s are in the process of falling out.

I’ve been to the gym all of 3 times this month because I haven’t been able to get up in the mornings.  Thanks in part to back pain, and sickness. My Dr gave me neat pain pills I take sometimes at night.  They work.  However, he wrote them Take 1 pill 3 times a day, and gave me 30 of them. SO technically a 10 day supply.  Well…I usually have one bottle last like 2-3 months but the last one I burned through quickly.  Like in a month.  No biggy I have tons of refills.  However, CVS felt that since it’s a narcotic…I needed to wait 30 days to refil it.  Um what?  SO I had to call the Dr, go in and have him re-write the script. Even though they all agreed at his office that it was clear that he prescribed me a 10 day supply.
Stupid laws.

In other news…Vivien is getting somewhat chattier.  But not too much.  I’m paying closer attention in any case, and making a point to talk WAY more than I used too around her.

Also…we have our yearly cardiologist appointment next week. I know the murmour is still, and likely always will be there.  But the valve issue, well that’s what the appointment is for.  I’d love to hear she grew out of it.  Because, well because I don’t want that in the back of my mind anymore.

Um….Officer managed to change his schedule.  While not written in stone he’ll be off MOST Sunday’s.  It depends a lot on what’s going on at work, but this is progress.  It still means I’m alone weeknights. But…that’s ok.  We get a full day together.

This Sunday we used it for a family day and went to the zoo!

She’s getting harder and harder to take pictures off.  I asked her to smile for this one, and she waved.  But in her defense there was a lot going on around us.

We also had quite a few turns on the merry go round. She really seemed to enjoy it as she only cried as we took her off of it each time.

I didn’t take that many pictures. I need to get a "Real" camera.  I don’t like using my phone for a lot of reasons and my camera is dying so we’re not using it.  Maybe this weekend. Anyways, it was windy, and crowded and really Vivien’s still a bit young for the zoo so apart from the Guinea Pigs in the petting zoo area there was very little that she got excited about.  She was more into the fence at the Elephants, and the leaves at the Giraffes.  But she’s young still.  It was so nice though to do something as a family.

I have more to say but I think I’m going to do another entry for it, because it’s going to be a long one.  It’s about vacation plans for this year.  I’m in planning phases and need to pin something down.  Have three things in mind, one for certain and two possibilities for the second "real" vacation.  More on that later.

Hope everyone has been having fun!  I’ve been reading, I promise!!

CAN’T wait to hear about the vacation plans!!

February 20, 2013

Any place that has a carousel has to be raking it in with the kids because I swear we cannot leave a place without the girls riding at least twice. I’ll have to vacation vicariously through you OD’ers who get to go. I think we’re homebound this year.
