I feel like writing but just don’t know what to write???

*tapping thumbs on the enter button*

so lets commence shall we

My current reads: Walking in circles before lying down: written by Merrill Markoe. I bought this book because that’s exactly what my yellow lab does-walking in circles before falling into his doggie bed. A good book but it’s taken me 6 months to read. I lost it and just found it behind my husbands back seat of his truck.

If there was dragons by Kay Hooper. Just get to the hot sex already!!!!! This book is too slow for my liking but must finish it because that’s what I do with everything I start.

Next book and my newest book,,just go in the mail toady. ZERO DAYS By Barbar Egbert, named for the precious days off when hikers rack up zero trial miles. A true life adventure of a 10 year old and her parents accomplishing a thru hike on the Pacific Crest Trail.

I have this dream to hike the hike of my lifetime. A journey of physical, spiritual, life changing and everything in between. Few people accomplish this dream it’s the call of the wild type of dream, but I want it and want it bad. It’s the hike of all hikes..much harder than the Adorindack hike..me thinks so at least. The Pacific Crest trail is a 2,700 mile hike from Mexico to Canada-passes through three states: California, Oregon and Washington and climbs through 60 major mountain passes, and decends through 19 major canyons and ambles through 1000 lakes and tarns. It is said that fewer people have hiked thru the PCT than have hiked Mt. Everest. I must add here, It really is a killer hike I will battle the beasts of rattlesnakes, bears, mountain lions, thunderstroms, rock slides, fires, waterless days, dangerous fords, not to forget the killer bees, and poisen ivy.

I’m so there..just need to figure out how to do it. I have been reading blogs of hikers who blog as they go along the trail but sadly, none of my bloggers have made the thur hike to Candada.

Well hell, A 10 year did it so dammit I can do it too..right? NO?

Moving right along here

dykes: two of them have a crush on me. AND i think there will be a third dyke that will come into play here in a few weeks. I have never been in this kind of perdicument before. The boys I mean girls look and dress like boys. I thought they were boys until another employee told me that they were indeed girls. Dykes. They flirt with me Boldlyand I can’t help but have this nervous laugh. I’m sure they are harmless. Maybe it’s the lipstick I wear. Anyways, my boss, with the one good arm interviewed a nurse today and she told me she was planning on hiring this new nurse for the evening shift. Well guess what…yep she’s one too. Is dyke a bad word?? this is what they told me they were….oh well all is good.

Still waiting for the STATE TO COME and tear apart everything. Maybe next week. STILL WALKING ON PINS AND NEEDLES

I leave you with a random photo that has touched me deeply in some odd way

edit:

This comes straight from Mantua, Italy, south of Verona, where archaeologists have found the intertwined skeletons of two lovers from the Neolithic period. As you can see from this phenomenal photograph, the two bodies, which cuddle closely while facing each other on their sides, were found together locked in an embrace. What’s better is that the place where they were found in the area where Shakespeare set “Romeo and Juliet.” Have we found some even older and more real star-crossed lovers?

The scientists say that these two probably died young, based on the fact that they had all their teeth back in a time when dentistry, charitably, was probably even worse than that scene in “Castaway” where Tom Hanks has to whack out a tooth with a rock.

Here’s what the Associated Press had to say, starting with Luca Bondioli, an anthropologist at Rome’s National Prehistoric and Ethnographic Museum when he said the find has:

…”more of an emotional than a scientific value.” But it does highlight how the relationship people have with each other and with death has not changed much from the period in which humanity first settled in villages, learning to farm the land and tame animals, he said. ”The Neolithic is a very formative period for our society,” he said. ”It was when the roots of our religious sentiment were formed.”

Here’s another point of view from that article (and another photo, taken with flat lighting, over to the left here), quoting from Elena Menotti who led the dig:

Experts might never determine the exact nature of the pair’s relationship, according to Menotti, but there is little doubt it was born of a deep sentiment. ”It was a very emotional discovery,” she said. ”From thousands of years ago we feel the strength of this love. Yes, we must call it love.”

How great is that? A reminder of love going back five or six thousand years. It’s almost certain that these two were buried at the same time. That could be an indication of a possible sudden and tragic death. DNA testing will be able to test whether the two were related.

Whatever the facts turn out to be, as opposed to the sick obsession of Lisa Nowak, here is a profound example of something that looks like it might even be noble. If it’s a message from the past, it’s well-timed.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if somehow this image becomes a famous poster someday. Certainly it will be in textbooks forever. It should be. And that’s my opinion, for what it’s worth…

That skeleton picture is very moving. Makes me want to cry. I’m sorry about your mortgage. That must be very scary. Can’t you do anything to refinance or something? That hike sounds like a very challenging adventure! I admire you for wanting to do that! I hope you can someday! I wouldn’t want to do that at all! I would be absolutely miserable! LOL! But then, you shower on the front porch with snow

very stressful about the mortgage; i hope you find a resolution. where did that photo come from? sad and interesting.

I would love to go on that hike with you..I would try to teach you about the birds, the flowers and the stars…and you could teach me about the Native customs…I can dream can’t I?

ryn: I started taking the bellydancing lessons for fun. A way to sort of reconnect with my teenage daughter. She was always fascinated with gypsies as a little girl, so it sparked her interest when I asked if she wanted to take lessons. And yes, it has brought us a little closer. Its also a GREAT workout. Not just for your abs but for your arms, shoulders & chest as well. If you get a chance, take a lesson. I’m sure you will love it. It doesn’t feel like exercise but it is. Plus it looks really sexy! 🙂 This picture is really cool. I sometimes think about what would happen if I died in a volcano eruption or something. What position would I be in? My luck, I’d be on the toilet or something…
