2nd Entry
Today is Sunday and I feel great!! I purposely made no plans this weekend so I could catch up on some rest! There were many things I WANTED to do this weekend but had no energy. My rest was way more important and my mind and body are thanking me. I did end up taking down our Christmas decorations yesterday. I don’t usually wait this long to do that. My house feels reset and ready to take on the new year. I also ended up finding 2 new bathroom light fixtures for 10 bucks off FB marketplace! After I get those are installed, my first bathroom will truly feel complete. I renovated our first bathroom last year and one of the only things I didn’t replace was the ugly lights. They worked just fine so I figured why bother. I’m glad they are coming down.
I also met my next door neighbors who moved in a few months ago. They have been busy renovating their house since the day they moved in. They approached me yesterday and introduced themselves. They had questions about our shared fence and wanted to ask if I would split the cost with them to replace it. They showed me pictures of what they wanted to do and I was totally on board. They gave me a quote for my half, and it’s about what I was expecting. This will be coming out of my tax refund money but at least I don’t have to deal with scheduling things or communicating with fencing company. I’m excited to see how it turns out.
Tomorrow is Monday and it will be time to go back to work. I’m eager to know if my coworker (who has been gone for months) is coming back to work or not. If she’s not there, chances are I will be filling in with her kiddo again.. the one who pinches. This is one of those kids who, when you look back on your career, you never forget. But for all the wrong reasons. This is honestly the first time I’ve encountered a client who I felt was not capable of improving his behavior (through no fault of his own). His family has been VERY inconsistent bringing him to his sessions each day. That’s been a major hurdle in the past 2 years he’s been with us. But over the past month, he attendance has massively improved. And I see the majority of his lessons getting ran with scores of 80-100%. It’s amazing! He still has a long way to go but it’s great to see certain areas of his behavior improving.
Anyway, I don’t want to talk about work right now. I’m going to continue enjoying the rest of my Sunday. I’ll go pour myself a drink and start planning dinner. See you next time! <3
