5th element

It’s the end of an era! One of our beloved supervisors worked her last day today. She is officially retired. We had a big pot luck and so many people brought her flowers and cards and gifts. It’s not going to be the same without her. She’s been an amazing mentor to absolutely everyone at the company. She’s worked there for 19 years. So incredible! I also found out that I am no longer assigned to the pinching kiddo at work. He was reassigned to another staff member who has a much better attendance record than the previous coworker. So the likely hood of filling in with him again is slim. I feel sooooo relieved.

I’m excited for tomorrow. I have an appointment to file my tax return. It will be nice to see what my refund will looks like. I also have an electrician coming in the afternoon to install new light fixtures for our bathrooms. The front bathroom will FINALLY be done! I also need to find a new rug for our family room. The one we have now is too smelly like our dogs. I’ve tried deep cleaning it, but the smell won’t go away. I think it’s done! I’m so tired of the house smelling like dog. I want to replace our hallway carpet with hardwood. I need to get a quote for that. My kids are having their friends over a lot more often and it’s so annoying having them come over to a smelly house. It’s kind of embarrassing. There’s so much shit I want to do to fix our house. There’s a lot of things that are WAAAAYYY over due. But I only have so much money and so much time to get things done. It’s been frustrating.
