I just renewed my lapsed OD+ for the next year.

My children have pinkeye.  Both boys have goopy eyes.  So, we’re having a Jammies At Home Day.  I’ve been chasing down the boys to clean their crusty goopy eyes and attempt to get some eye drops in there.  Good Fun For All.

I was the first caller to get through to the doctor’s office when they opened the phone lines at 8:30 this morning.

I’ve cleaned my kitchen.  I’ve run the dishwasher.

I’ve done a few loads of laundry..in an attempt to keep clean washcloths on hand for the aforementioned eye crustiness.  Each washcloth has a single-use life right now.  One child and a one time eye cleansing…to keep cross-contamination from getting more eyes full of pink. 

I cancelled the Super-Fun Playdate for Gus that was planned for this afternoon/evening (shhh…don’t tell him it was really a babysitter).  I cancelled my plans to head to the local scrapbooking store for 8 hours of child-free scrapbooking.

I turned down a Mommy-Child Playdate Offer to go walk around the mall for a few hours.

I picked up more Nervous Nelly dog poops today.  I really hate the thought of medicating Baby Girl into a carefree stupor, but this nervous pooping habit is getting really old  really fast.  We see the Vet next week to discuss the situation.

We’re supposed to be the Snack Parents at Nursery School tomorrow.  I already called and left a message about our pinkeye situation.  I’m sure they’d rather keep out pinkeye than have our stupid snack anyway.

I’ve played several hours worth of trains with Gus this morning.  That’s a tall order.  But it’s even tougher when baby brother wants to crash all the train tracks. ("No Godzilla!")

Tell me the truth…you envy my life.  "Don’t you with your life was hot like mine?"

In an hour or so…when my babies are feeling stircrazy, I’m planning a drive in the country.  They’ll nap and I’ll get to park & read the paper.  And yes, this drive will be a Jammies-Only event for all of us. 

Until then, I guess I’ll microwave some popcorn and get out a few cookbooks – I’m supposed to bring Weight Watchers-Friendly snacks & desserts to a Super Bowl Party on Sunday.
