Last night TBU and I had tickets to the This American Life (semi-)LIVE! show.  It was nice to spend an evening together.  We’ve been trying to do this more often.  We’ve got some wonderful, responsible, and frankly underpaid babysitters in our stable now.  So we try to utilize them often.

We ran to the dealership to turn in the loaner & collect our minivan from having been serviced.  Then grabbed a quick bite before our show.  The TAL broadcast was really entertaining.  We’ve been long-time fans of the show.  When the show was over, it was still kinda early…just 9:15 or so.  We tried to grab a cup of coffee, but apparently Panera closes at 9:00.

See, if mama had gotten that cup of coffee, then she wouldn’t have spent the remainder of the evening trying to get a ticket for lewd & lascivious behavior in a parking lot.

Only after I got home, did I take an ovulation test.  And yes…turns out that (as my hubby so crudely put it)…I’m in heat.

Today we’ve had really nasty rainy weather.  It looks like the sun might appear now.  I’m gonna feed these children and then try to get an errand or two run before nap-time.

Have I mentioned that everyday this week we’ve had nap-time in our house and NOT in the car?

Which is good, b/c I don’t think I’ll ever look at the backseat of the minivan (Gusser’s seat to be exact) the same way again. HA!

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

1. A night out with hubby. 
2. The smile that creeps onto his face when he realizes I’m serious.
3. Coming up with ideas that still keep him surprised. 
4. A quiet day at home with my children (rain or no rain). 
5. Now that the rain is go, go, going away…we can get out for a little bit.
