I had my ultrasound this morning. Mama’s having not one, but two babies!
(Which explains so much about the craziness I’ve enjoyed during the first 12 weeks of this pregnancy!)
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!!!
It is still too early to tell a few things such as gender (although, the babies do share a similar heart rate. One which might indicate a specific gender, if I were inclined to share such information), or whether they might be fraternal or identical.
I’ve been very excited & chatty all morning long. Now, I’m starting to realize the "holy crap" aspects involved in having twins. Mostly, the "I don’t know what it is that I don’t know" about how to prepare and move forward with this news.
TBU and I are very excited. Freaked out, but excited, to be sure.
I need to go do some research now.
[Andi], will you be my new best friend? I’m in need of serious advice from a pro.
5 Things That Make Me Happy:
- Last night I felt the first flutter in my belly
- Both babies are healthy, tracking at the correct gestational size/weight, have healthy heart rates, and are moving around like crazy
- Gus is fully aware of & able to explain that there are 2 babies in mommy’s tummy
- Mattson, my darling baby boy.
- The look on TBU’s face when I surprised him with the info…priceless
OMG!!!!! that’s amazing (scary) wonderful news!!! you get to go from family of 4 to family of 6! so excited.

Sweet! There’s a twin group/club in my area. It’s more than just the cute side – providing sitters, help finding doctors, loaning cribs and highchairs, etc. I used to buy all my daughters’ clothes at the consignment shop – great stuff!

my mouth dropped open and stayed that way through the entire entry. so thrilled foryou, esp. in light of the c-section informatio you shared in the previous entry. i came away from the entry really sad at the idea that it might be possible the decision had been made for you regarding more births. now i’m wondering if God said, well, Here, two birds with one stone!

I am so excited and scared but mostly excited for you and you must be SO happy because you were JUST TALKING about wanting more than three- but because of the C Section it wouldnt be possible and you’d adopt and now TWINS.
