Saucy Sale: 2

This is NOT how I thought I’d be rockin’ in the 2nd half of this pregnancy.

I’m really worried about myself & the babies.

In the last 6 days, I’ve had to go in for bloodwork twice.  The nurse has commented on my dehydration at both visits.  One of those visits was for my 1 hour glucose test – which I failed.  So, on Friday morning I will need to go back for the 3 hour glucose test.

I’ve been trying to get myself hydrated before the next blood draw.  To prep for the test, I’m supposed to eat a carb-fest everyday until the test.

Yesterday I tried to increase my water intake.  Last night I threw up all the water I’d had in the afternoon & evening.

I had a very restless sleep last night.  I woke up thirsty & nauseous.  Which promptly led to a nice stomach acid barf.

I’ve choked down a 1/2 glass of water and a bite of cheese this morning (over the past 2 1/2 hours), in an attempt to get something in my stomach.  Even that’s not sitting very well.

I don’t know if this is some sort of stomach virus or if it is related to gestational diabetes.  Both seem very plausible explanations.

Which gives me lots to worry about.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all is well with you and those sweet little babies.

I hope it’s just some sort of stomach bug. Sorry you failed the 1hr test 🙁 Sending you lots of good thoughts!!

maybe YOU need to eat the brat diet? Even if it’s not carb-fest like, just to get something in your belly? Also- when my belly hurts, regular coke (I know- It’s NOT water… but still) helps my belly feel better, or icecream, something dairy to coat the tummy lining. Feel better baby

I had the same suggestion about regular Coke that LPP had. It does something to make the nausea go away. Also ginger tea works well, but the ultimate for me was watermelon. Something in it is anti nausea, but it also has high water content, which would help in your situation.

no matter what it is, the doctors will be able to take care of it. take solace in that. it’s hard not to worry, but in the end, everything will be okay.

I’m glad the dr is keeping such a close eye on you. I’m sure all will be fine, but it sure is scary. I hope you feel better soon and that it’s just a little bug. I don’t know how you keep up with your two little ones and bake these little babies.
