1778 Ultrasound Update

Saucy Scale: 10

Ultrasound Update:

Baby A = boy

A month ago he weighed 2 pounds even.

Today he weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces.  Which means he’s grown 1 pound 8 ounces in a month.

Baby B = girl

A month ago she weighed 2 pounds 2 ounces.

Today she weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces.  Which means she’s grown 1 pound 10 ounces in a month.

Which means that I’m carrying around the equivalent of a 7 pound  4 ounce singleton baby right now.  I look and feel every ounce of it, let me tell you!  Actually, I look as if I’m smuggling a watermelon (length-wise) under my shirt right now!  My belly button is poking out.  I am quite a sight!

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

  1. I told the Nursery School Director that I am quitting my Auction post.  I still need to place a call to Boss Lady to let her know.  I am planning to get together with the group tomorrow night for our scheduled meeting, but that is the last thing they can count on from me!
  2. I stopped by the local candy store this morning to order 2 more free care packages be sent to servicemen in Iraq/Afghanistan.  I love our candy store!
  3. Watching the twins swim & squirm around during the ultrasound.
  4. Gus & I are able to go out for lunch alone together when Mattson is at PDO.  I really enjoy our conversations about his day at school.
  5. Having both my boys back at home with me after our school day.
  6. BONUS: As soon as the boys finish watching 1 segment of "Max & Ruby", we get to take our nap!  Woo Hoo!

mmmm mmmm mmmm. Nap time. Sam is napping right now, and even though I promised myself I would nap too- I know as soon as I close my eyes- he’ll wake up. I just ate lunch and had a snack. I know you need to know that! Goodness- that’s a LOT of growth in such a short time! Grow babies grow! Grow babies grow!

Ah, yes. The 7 pounds of baby mark. Let the real uncomfort begin! Ah ha ha! Seriously, though, those are GREAT weights. It must be such a relief for you to know that they are getting so big. My mantra used to be, “5 pounds and 36 weeks, 5 pounds and 36 weeks…” You’re getting close on both counts!

I totally empathize with you! I’m carrying about 9 1/2 pounds of baby right now.

At this rate I’d say you are good to go by Valentine’s day. Keep up the good incubating! 😉

The babies weight gain is great! I’m trying to remember how big Gus & Mattson were? I am so overwhelmed w/ 2 that I cannot imagine how busy you are going to be shortly! You are a much braver woman then I am! I can’t wait to see pics of the twins! It seems like it’s going so fast!
