MayMetMo 2020 #22: Wilderness for Vivacious

Even the barren wilderness is teaming with life just below the surface.  What may appear first as nothing more than rock and wasteland as far as the eye can see, is home to countless waves of energy that come together to make one of the most active ecosystems on the planet.   Every blasted rock, home for a colony of insects or the cover of a hole for a varmint.   Every sparingly planted cactus is home for woodpeckers and a variety of birds and insects that call its prickled branches home.   hidden among the sand and scant shadows are snakes and spiders perfectly camouflaged waiting in ambush for a stray rodent or misstepping marsupial.   From far above this vast desert would appear as nothing but a blasted space with death and vacancy abounding.  But when you get close enough to anything, you will discover a Vivacious Wilderness underneath.
