Evening of 9-17-6
Rest day. When I finally made myself go enter the sunlight, it was already afternoon. Spent a half hour pacing outside the van, thinking about things I need to do for the next week. This is incredible progress. I used to avoid doing this like the plague, sometimes putting things off completely. Looked at everything due this week. Looked at my classes, and how I’ve been acting these past two weeks. Tried to split work into pieces whereever possible, and giving myself large time chucks to work within.
But first, fun. Socialized with Cliff (& Liz). Told Cliff about the meager events of the past week. Went to Fatburger, where I downed two Kingburgers. Oh, I finished them, but it was definitely a little more than needed. I’ll back off next time.
Went and saw the kittens. Cliff’s mom’s still watching them. Told Liz to come by more often to see them. Which scares Liz. I don’t blame her, I wouldn’t want to be there without Cliff. The kittens are pretty much living in the upstairs bathroom right now, to keep them separate from the rest of the animals. I should probably tell my parents at some point that I’m taking one of the kittens. At least, I’m intending to. I have no idea how it’ll work out, I’m not good at making things happen. I don’t really know now.
Came back here to watch Star Trek II. Liz said she was in the mood. She’s never seen any Star Trek before, but she trusts my taste in movies, so she wants to start watching them. Gave Cliff a shot of Prune Jews. *smiles* I can drink it straight without a problem. ..Yeah, I wash it down with milk afterwards.
Something random. Cliff was saying about how guys used to be called weremen, and girls used to be called women. Obviously the were- prefix fell out of favor. Would make a lot more sense, though. Men of were, men of wo!
I uh. I’m going to bed. Ha ha, we’re such a boring bunch. Hitting up Fatburger, petting kittens, and watching Star Trek. Oh, the youth of today! We really don’t get enough credit. Oh, and we happened to catch an episode of Monty Python on PBS. Us rebellious kids watching those scandalous british!
Was it the episode with the village idiots? I was watching that last night on PBS… heh.
