Friend Retiring at 54

One of my friends from work told me today that he is retiring!  He’s only 54!  Great for him. I have a similar dream myself. He is a very down-to-earth guy. He grows a big garden and cans veggies, has his own bee hives, lives modestly, likes to bike and is building his own house.  My kind of person.  A big factor for him is that his wife has health insurance and will continue with it after she retires. Not so lucky for moi but I’m going to look hard at my situation to see if I can swing something similar.  I love what I do but would love to be closer to family. 

I’m really happy for him. Living the dream.
