Trans Siberian Orchestra
Last night Justin, Diane and I were joined by Nichole, her mom and her boyfriend and went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra at the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland. WHAT A SHOW! It’s a perfect mix of Christmas songs, rock music, and light show threaded together by a magical story. There are about 6 vocalists and WOW could they sing. There were also 3 guitarists also with talent. The narrator had a deep baritone voice and was perfect for telling the story linking all the songs together. Justin was already familiar with 2 of the gutarists from some other band and he really wanted their autographs so after the concert we waited around for abut an hour for that. We probably wouldn’t have made it out much quicker anyway with all the traffic. When we left it was midnight and all the traffic had cleared.
Before the show we went to dinner at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Buca di Bepo’s. We love their food and the whole atmosphere. Filled with old tacky Italian photos, statues and music. Diane had a glass and a half of wine and was the life of the party. She’s so funny! Nichole’s Mom’s boyfriend is a bit lame. He had been smoking pot before he got there (I could smell it) and was acting a little obnoxious and a little stupid. Two hours later he sobered up and he hardly spoke the rest of the night.
By the time we got home and wound down for bed it was after 1:30. Real late for me so I slept in til 8:30. Today Justin wanted to go climbing at the rock gym. Not sure I’m up for it. I’ll see after I wake up.
Good night out on the town…. waytago, kids…. and staying out late is good…. sleepin’ in is even better…
