Wow… Work… NO words!
Context: I work at Wendy’s to be able to help take care of my mom and sell Avon as a side gig. the weather is horrible right now as i went to work this morning the roads were icy as fuck and i fishtailed leaving the driveway to the road.
Arrive at work.
Clock in do my normal prep things (Count salads and condiments to see what i need to make for the day)
ask the morning shift manager what numbers he wanted; he proceeds to tear up my list and says i should know what to make. I said excuse me! you will make me a new list so i know what to make.
he also stated we had a no call no show
I go about my business grabbing the items i need to make salads and prep
Gm walks in and apparently the shift manager walks out
as i get back to the prep area. gm asks me to help get all new product down as shift manager didn’t turn on one of the warmers and everything was bad… so i got new chicken in the fryers and sausage patties on the grill, while another co worker did eggs
after that did prep and told Gm what shift manager had done.. gm was appalled but said shift manager was being disrespectful to her in text to try and get her to come in early. Also same shift manager no called no showed yesterday…
finish salad prep and go and print labels for things for todays lunch prep and review list with gm which had me making less things than the shift manager wanted.
finish prep and clean station
Do the Breakfast dishes and once those were done i was free to go. I got a extra hour of work in today because of the this drama.
I am scheduled 3 hour shifts Monday – Thursday and Saturdays .
because of this drama i totaled 17hours this week! i Previously had an extra hour because of truck on tuesday…
in my almost 4 years of being there this was quite the drama.. but not as bad as the time gun violence threat drama.
Wendy’s has amazing burgers.

I worked in fast food for a lot of years. That’s how it is, isn’t it?
