Everything is pre-made these days…

I was trolling the net today and I found out some shocking info.

I hope you are sitting down!

I found out that the doughnuts at Tim Hortons are premade and frozen and then shipped out to the stores.

*gasp*

I KNOW!

Some stores make them fresh, and they are the ones that ship them out.

I would think that the one in St. Anthony NF makes their own, but maybe they don’t. It is OUT there, as far north on Newfoundland you can get. Hmmmm….

I guess that is just how things are now. I also discovered that McDonalds does the same type of things. Their pancakes that used to be made inhouse are now just thrown into a microwave.I haven’t had breakfast there in ages, probably not even in this century, so that doesn’t bother me nearly like the Timmy’s one does.

I told my Dad this shocking revelation and he said, well I think that Dunkin Donuts does the same thing.

Really?!?!?! Well, they haven’t had those commercials in years, you know the one where the guy says, I have to go and make the donuts, and you see him leaving his house early in the morning.

(Now I want some donuts, and I am not slated to have any till October, which is when the fall yard sale season starts.)

I knew that about Tim Hortons. It has been that way for some time. I don’t go there that often .. I know, how anti-Canadian of me. I don’t do coffee so that is probably most of the reason why, and their hot chocolate sucks. (the only thing that I like instead of coffee .. especially in winter time). Have a good night. Take care.

Well come up here and go to the Tim Hortons my daughter works at – she’s the baker and you’ll get them fresh, fresh fresh! RYN: Awwww thanks. I’ll still be around reading 🙂 xx

RYN: ah .. must be the Tim Hortons here. I actually have a hot chocolate maker at home here, and it makes the best hot chocolate. It is made by Mr Coffee and is ONLY available in the US. Like what sort of stupid idea is that, it is cold up here, and you would think that we drink more hot chocolate here. I had my parents get me the Hot Chocolate maker in the US for me. That is the ONE thing that

when Beckie and I got divorced, I told her she couldn’t take my hot chocolate maker. I jumped thru hoops to get that thing. For the best Hot Chocolate I have tasted .. actually it was at Boston Pizza. Yummy yummy. But at about 4$ per cup and no refills I cannot afford too many cups there.

I actually learned that bit of T. Ho’s news on Thursday. Weird. But I learned it from someone who just got a job there. *shrugs* they’re still good. Do you even have T. Ho’s in Florida?

RYN, thee is a tradition to NOT invite people to a bris, so don’t be surprised if you get a non-invitation, or don’t get an invite at all. Still totally normal to go even if you’re not invited. As for a gift, any baby toy/baby outfit is appropriate, but make sure it doesn’t have any non kosher animals on it. FYI- giraffes are kosher!

Yeah, not surprising. I think all “fast” food places have their food pre-made and frozen. It’s the same method that public schools use to have the majority of their food shipped in as well. That’s why we’re all so sick. If you want a fresh donut, go to a mom and pop shop… that’s what I do 🙂

No! Surely DD makes theirs! I’ve been there! OMG!

Yeah, I’m pretty sure a lot of those places do that sort of thing. It’s a lot cheaper than making it all yourself I imagine

I heard the same thing about supermarket bread – the dough is pre-made and all the supermarket bakeries do is heat it up!
