I can hardly type…

Oh my workout was hard today. I added some weight. Who’s bright idea was it to work triceps by bringing a bar with weight on it to your forehead? Surely someone who wasn’t klutzy like a certain person I know. I banging my head with that thing at least 10 times. You would think I would have learned after a bit, but it was like I just couldn’t judge where the bar was and where my forehead was at the same time… or something.

Daniel being the nut he is did both body pump (weights) and body combat (cardio with a lot of karate type moves.) Yes, 2 hours. He is training for 2 races right now. One is the Warrior Dash, and the other one being the Spartan. Yes, he is crazy insane. Anyway, this time he actually wanted to do more than just run around the block once and then do the race.

OMG I am SORE!

Eliana can only stay in the kids club for 2 hours, and I had to drop her off 1/2 hour before the class started, so I took her and went to Gymboree. I still had one Gymbuck left.

Are you ready for this?!?!

After my GB I got 2 pairs of jeans for $6! Yes, $3 each! WOOOO-HOOOOO!

And while we were there Eliana was reunited with a friend from Gymboree Play and Learn. She and the little boy played and played together and had a great time. I talked with his mother a bit and she might check out My Gym.

OK, here is my main thing about a 10+ year old boy in the locker room with naked women. How would you feel as a 8,9,10 year old girl with that boy in there? Why didn’t the mother shove him in a stall? Why have him just sit there and stare at everyone? There were several of them that were just plain too old to be in there. It isn’t how I feel as a mother, everything isn’t about me, kwim? If I had a 10 year old boy I would suck it up and send him to the boys room. Granted I would most likely stand by the door and make him sing the entire time, but he would not be going in where classmates might be.

Special needs is different as well. At Disney I do see special need males who are in the girls room and it doesn’t matter to me. That is something totally different.

I am lucky in that most places around here have family bathrooms. When Daniel has Eliana by himself and they don’t have one, he picks her up and makes her put her head down on his chest. Then he takes her into a stall. It’s such a tricky thing because the mens room is so open, but when a kid has to go, they have to go. 4 is too young to go by themselves. Not to mention she can get everything down, but not back up again. She has the worst time with her underwear.

Now you know everything, haha!

Wow, I can’t believe I typed that much. I need to go and collapse now!

Good job on your workout. I ask again – are you logging this? I definitely see your point about the locker room. I didn’t realize the kid was just sitting there staring at people.

Good job on your workout. But somehow the tricep thing seems backwards, when you do triceps properly you cannot hit yourself on the head. I would consider changing that as triceps (like Biceps) are really easy to do. I used to have big biceps (totally a guy thing, as women seem to like that). Now I just have biceps. Re the boys in the girls change room, I just don’t agree with it. Hope you have a

good week. Take care.

RYN: I am just shaking my head in amazement. There is an easy way(where you will not have the option of hurting yourself)to work your triceps, but obviously your instructor has fallen and hit their head. The rest is still kinda foggy. But I will let you go to it, and I will just hope that someones guidance will not get you injured. Take care.

Hitting your head when doing biceps, I can see that. But not triceps (unless you are doing it really wrong). So we will leave it at that. The treadmill thing, well that’s a new one. You are talented. I just cannot do the elliptical (too hard on my ankles). I know I should be going to the gym but somehow I just am not in the mood for doing it. Maybe someday. Good for you for going there. Take care.

Ryn – Yes I totally see your point, boys DEFINITELY should be facing the wall. I can’t believe that they weren’t! lol

Wow, good on you! And yes I agree with previous public noter – you should log all of this. I was logging everything I was doing some time back, and gave myself the challenge to up the ante every week. So whether it was an extra 5 mins each week, or an added particular work-out. It was really beneficial! And it became an awesome game on its own – to see if I would meet my own challenge each week. It felt awesome 🙂

Yikes, I’m sorry, but a ten year old can change and meet up on the other side! RYN: I know, eh? And it takes me forever to get up the gumption to go anywhere… as in, I didn’t want to be leaving at 4pm knowing that just the bus ride two and from would take two hours, but she had no sandals and Patrick really needed the quiet time to study for his exam. I almost didn’t want to make the entry but I promised I would 😛 It’s generally ho-hum, putter off to Safeway, say hi to the same couple of neighbours along the way, putter in garden, bladiblablabla 😛
