Zooming Monday…

How in the world did it get to be 11:30? Some days just fly I guess.

This morning we had to get out early to do a make up class for Gymboree. Eliana has missed 4 art classes and it is hard to get her down there for make ups due to other things going on. I did not get her there by 9(surprise) but I did get her there in time for the 10:00 music class. I went to the car and read the Sunday and Monday paper. She had a great time.

After that I went to the mall that has Janie and Jack. They are having their season finale sale. Eliana was SUPER DUPER GOOD! Oh my goodness good! I bought her some stuff because I can’t help it. I then let her play on the playground because she was so good. The Disney store is right there, and of course they were having a really good sale so I bought her more stuff.

She really is a budget buster.

We then came home and went to Moe’s Monday and came back home. Daniel worked some more and I took a nap. For some odd reason I can sleep fine during the day, but when nighttime comes I have this horrible hacking cough. How does my body know when it is night? How come I don’t cough during the day? Cough meds do nothing.

We also went to the gym. Daniel did a class and I did the treadmill, bike and some weights. It feels so useless. I know it is good for my innards, but my outerds have shown no difference at all. I don’t expect to ever be anything other than fat. It can be really depressing at times.

I really need to travel, I am going to lose my mind. But of course we can’t. BLAH!

*pouts*

Today Eliana was asking to go to Canada. She has the Raffi song Canada on her iPod. She has been there once, for just a few hours. Daniel’s family has a cottage on lake Erie in Canada. I want to go up north and have an Andy’s sub.I really thought there was a chance of that happening too, but the plane threw a wrench in it. *sigh*

Feel better soon. That is odd about sleeping during the day vs. night. Do you have allergies? Do you sleep in the same place day and night? Do the cats sleep with you at both times? Do you sleep in the same position? Hmmm. . .

I had to read some of your entries .. very very funny entries. At least you have been to Manitoba. I have never been there. Maybe someday. I know I say that .. but really until my bank account is much much better I will be going no where. I was going to say that Canadian places (like Tim Hortons) take American money, but these days there isn’t a huge difference in the 2 currencies like there once

was. You were in Edmonton shortly before I went to Oregon to pick up Devin and Beckie. We got married in April (and they returned to Oregon so Devin could finish school) and I flew back to Edmonton. I went in the end of June (or early July) to pick them up. And I do agree with you it is much better being a tourist coming to Canada. They are so nice. But going to the US as a tourist, not so nice.

I liked reading your Canadian entries .. always interesting to read the perspective of visitors. I also read the notes .. and giggled at one of them “Is that in Canada ? or something like that”. Yes you need to pass thru Canada to get to Alaska. Unless you go to Russia I guess. *giggles* That note was from a lady that also used to read Beckies diary. (maybe still does). I will admit that we do

have highways that are very straight. I don’t mind that really as it makes driving easy, though it can be boring. Edmonton to Calgary … is totally straight with hardly a turn. You can tell you daughter that the door to Canada is always open for her to come back, and if she comes to Edmonton I will go on the big rollercoaster at the mall with you guys. I should clarify what I said above . . only Beckie and I were in Las Vegas when we got married. Devin was back in Oregon going to school. Vegas is no place for kids in my opinion. As a kid, it seems though that we always went to Las Vegas when we flew back from California. I think it is cause there was only 1 flight from there and it was a Vegas-Edm flight.

Come to Canada…. we have Bueno! Bring Janie and her brother Jack! 😉 Ransom them for chocolate even! And get better!
